A netizen recently shared on Threads that discounted movie tickets can be purchased at Kaohsiung MRT stations, with prices cheaper than buying directly at the cinemas and even offering other types of vouchers. The post garnered over 5,000 likes and led to discussions among netizens, with some expressing disappointment towards Taipei MRT. This service, available only at seven major stations of Kaohsiung MRT, has been in effect since September 2020 and includes discounts on movie tickets, restaurant vouchers from major chains, hotel dining vouchers, as well as admission tickets for exhibitions, leaving many impressed and even calling for similar services to be introduced by Taipei MRT.
