In preparation for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival amidst rising living costs, Kaohsiung's Daliao Five Dragon Temple, in partnership with 17 police stations, initiated a rice donation campaign in June. Led by Kaohsiung's Police Chief Lin Yantian, the first distribution of 1200 bags of rice took place on June 22, with the temple chairman, along with various dignitaries and police officials attending. This collaboration marks a pioneering effort where a religious organization and law enforcement agencies in all Kaohsiung districts join forces to provide aid, aiming to ensure that donated items reach those truly in need.
