A 39-year-old man surnamed Sung, a well-known shoe cleaning expert in Taiwan, tragically died last night after his Porsche SUV rear-ended a tanker truck on the Kaohsiung section of the highway near High-Tech Road. Sung's mother expressed sorrow this morning, recalling that her son had mentioned heavy rain before leaving to buy materials in Taichung. Despite all three drivers involved in the crash testing negative for alcohol, a further investigation is pending to determine the cause of the accident. Sung's mother shared that her son, who was divorced with two children, had been running a successful shoe and leather repair business for over a decade with plans to expand further.
