A Kaohsiung soymilk shop in Nanzih District was accused by customers of serving food with cockroaches, with one customer discovering a live cockroach floating in the sauce. After complaints were made, the health bureau inspected the shop and found cockroaches inside, as well as various hygiene violations such as lack of disease vector barriers and dirty walls. The shop was ordered to temporarily close and improve, with a fine of over NT$60,000 if violations are not corrected. This incident comes after a previous incident of cockroach infestation, with customers expressing shock and disappointment at the shop's lack of improvement in food safety practices.
