On the evening of June 10th in Kaohsiung, a thief named Huang tried to steal and sell cables at a construction site in Qianjin District, but accidentally cut the Taiwan Power Company wires, causing a malfunction in the traffic lights at the intersection of Seven Sages Road and Market 1st Road. The incident also led to a power outage in a nearby convenience store for over an hour, prompting the attention of the police and Taiwan Power Company. The 64-year-old thief was caught on the spot with drug theft history and equipment worth about 50,000 NT dollars confiscated, with the case now transferred to the prosecutor's office for investigation.
