Neel Kashkari, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, stated that the Fed is well-positioned to wait and observe incoming data before initiating interest rate cuts. The central bank lowered its rate cut projections to one for this year and emphasized the need for more evidence of inflation slowing to the 2% target before easing policy. If a rate cut occurs this year, it is likely to happen towards the end of the year.
