The newly built Keelung City Interchange Station, which has been under construction since 2019, was officially opened on July 1. Keelung Mayor Hsieh Kuo-liang expressed that with an estimated 50,000 Keelung residents needing to travel daily between National Highway buses and trains to Taipei and New Taipei City, the new station will provide a comfortable waiting space and the convenience of transferring between transportation modes without having to endure the sun and rain. Despite facing challenges during its construction, the interchange station now integrates 52 transportation routes, offering improved facilities and commercial functions for passengers.
