Keelung City Government introduced the Youth Electric Scooter 2.0 Program, causing a surge in applications, resulting in long queues and public complaints. Starting from the 24th, on-site applications will be suspended, with a shift to online registration from the 1st of July. Applicants exceeding the quota will be selected through a draw. The city plans to optimize the process by extending the application period and implementing an online lottery system for selection, eliminating the need for queueing at district offices.
