In celebration of the 113th Police Festival, the Keelung City Police Department held an event on June 7, 2024, where Mayor Xie Guoliang presided over the ceremony. The event honored promoted personnel and awarded model police officers, excellent on-duty police officers, and seasoned outstanding officers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining social order and traffic safety. The department's achievements were recognized by the Ministry of the Interior's Police Administration, and their collaboration with the municipal government resulted in a significant reduction in pedestrian traffic accidents. As part of their community involvement, the department conducted a charity sale where over 400 second-hand items were sold, with all proceeds donated to charity, promoting a caring and compassionate image of the police force.
