On the evening of June 20th in Keelung, a murder occurred when a man surnamed Lin (31 years old) engaged in an argument with his friend surnamed Li during a phone call. Li told Lin to 'speak nicely and be polite', which angered Lin. He then went to Li's residence on Yuan Yuan Road in Nuannuan District with a knife and stabbed Li three times, resulting in Li's death. Lin fled to Huangang Fishing Port but was later arrested. Lin was considered a flight risk and a danger of collusion, so a court approved his detention. The police investigation found that Lin and his friend drove towards Wanli, New Taipei City, after the incident, and Lin was captured on the breakwater at Huangang Fishing Port. Lin was suspected of murder and was transferred to the Keelung District Prosecutor's Office. After a second interrogation, the prosecution believed that Lin was heavily suspected of the crime of murder and was at risk of flight and collusion, thus applying for his detention, which was granted by the court.
