Keelung Police Chief Leads Team for Expanded Inspection on First Day of Youth Summer Project

On June 30, 2024, in order to protect the youth during the upcoming summer vacation, the Keelung City Police Department conducted an expanded inspection operation from 9:00 pm on June 30 to 1:00 am on July 1 as part of the 'Summer Youth Protection - Youth Project.' Led by Chief of Police Weng Qun-Neng, the operation aimed to purify the environment that hinders youth growth by cracking down on illegal activities. The focus of this year's project includes preventing youth involvement in organized crime, drug-related offenses, fraud, and other crimes. Over 120 officers from various police units participated in the operation, resulting in the apprehension of individuals involved in crime. The police will continue to strengthen inspections of places that harm youth health, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining public safety in Keelung City and creating a safe environment for the youth to grow up in.
