At the Keelung City briefing held on June 26, 2024, at the Ren'ai District Wenchang Community Activity Center, the Keelung City Police Department's First Substation sent officers led by Zhang Junsheng to the event. Besides their security duties, they also conducted an anti-fraud campaign on-site to educate the public about preventing crimes, enhancing community self-defense capabilities, and reducing the chances of falling victim to scams. With various scams constantly emerging, the police provided anti-fraud information to raise awareness among attendees, especially regarding avoiding suspicious calls and messages instructing cash withdrawals or other risky actions. The police reminded the public to verify such requests, seek consultation from hotlines, and avoid following instructions blindly to safeguard their property and prevent falling prey to scams.
