Ker Chien-ming, the DPP Legislative Yuan caucus convener, was caught smoking in the parliament again and appeared on the legislative session broadcast. Taipei City Health Bureau has received reports and Mayor Chiang Wan-an stated that the person reported should provide a statement within 7 days for further processing according to regulations, with fines ranging from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000 if proven. KMT Legislator Fu Kun-chi expressed the hope that the DPP can restrain Ker and avoid spreading carcinogenic smoking habits in the legislature, urging prompt penalties from Taipei City Health Bureau.
