Klarna's stock surged 16% in its first trading session on the NYSE, closing at $46.40 and achieving a market valuation of approximately $17.5 billion. The company's IPO, which raised $1.37 billion, saw its opening price rise to $52, significantly above the initial offering price of $40 per share. Despite this recent growth, Klarna's market cap remains below its previous valuation of $45.6 billion from 2021, but has doubled from a valuation of $6.7 billion in 2022.
