At a joint press conference with the People's Party parliamentary group, Ko Wen-je commented on the recent legislative power reform effective on the 26th, where President Lai Ching-te urged the opposition parties not to unilaterally demand the President to present a national report in the Legislative Yuan before settling constitutional interpretations. Despite this, KMT's Fu Kun-chi still emphasized that they do not rule out inviting Lai Ching-te to present a national report according to the law. In response, Ko Wen-je stated that if there is a resolution in the Legislative Yuan requesting the President to come, then he should come, as Taiwan is a country governed by law and should just follow the law passed by three readings. Ko Wen-je also dismissed claims about legislator Huang Kuo-chang's reluctance to run for New Taipei City mayor. Regarding the issue of Chinese surveillance on political discourse, Ko Wen-je suggested that if China's Xinhua News Agency is indeed monitoring Taiwan, the government's national security agency should investigate promptly. The press conference also involved remarks from People's Party legislator Chang Chi-kai, who identified four unreasonable aspects of the incident, mentioning the lack of scripts in political discussion programs.
