The Kuomintang (KMT) held a 'Defend Democracy and Reform Parliament' event in Tainan, with Chairman Zhu Li-Lun missing due to other commitments. Blue camp legislators such as Hsieh Lung-Chieh, Xu Qiao-Xin, Wu Tsung-Hsien, Wang Hung-Wei, and Ko Chih-En attended to speak against corruption and investigate scandals. Hsieh Lung-Chieh denounced the collusion between officials and businesses in Tainan and called for their arrest. Wang Hung-Wei criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for being afraid of investigations into corruption. The event aimed to mobilize support for the KMT amid DPP's calls for legislator recalls.
