Reported about 1 year ago
During a press conference by the KMT legislative caucus questioning inconsistencies in the recall law amendments, DPP legislator Guo Guowen pointed out that when he proposed related legislation 2 years ago, KMT legislators did not support it. Now, as KMT officials face recall threats, they are proposing amendments, prompting allegations of self-interest. The KMT accuses the DPP of hypocrisy for criticizing their amendments, while DPP legislators, including Tang Huizhen, Guo Guowen, and Lai Rulong, have previously advocated for raising recall thresholds as well. The issue remains contentious as the debate continues.
