KMT Legislator Ko Chien-ming was reported for smoking indoors in the Legislative Yuan, with Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an stating that they would handle the situation in accordance with the anti-smoking laws. Ko was previously reported for smoking in the Premier's Office relaxation room by the end of May, and later caught smoking at the entrance of the meeting room during cross-party negotiations, with the entire process being captured on the parliamentary live broadcast. Taipei City Councilor Liu Tsai-wei has filed a complaint with the Taipei City Health Bureau, leading to potential fines of NT$2,000 to NT$10,000 under the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act.
