KMT Legislator Suggests Premier and Defense Minister Test on Indigenous Submarine Hai Kung When Next Seaborne Test Commences, Premier Responds No Capability or Qualification

During legislative inquiry, KMT Legislator expressed concerns about the progress of the first indigenous submarine Hai Kung currently undergoing harbor tests and suggested that the Premier and Defense Minister should participate in the seaborne test to boost military morale. Defense Minister Gu Lixiong emphasized the importance of professionalism in maritime matters and Premier Zhuo Rongtai stated that they lack the ability and qualification to join the test. The submarine completed the naming ceremony and harbor tests and is moving towards seaborne tests. Defense Minister further stressed the importance of safety in the testing process, rebutting the suggestion of joining the seaborne test. Zhuo highlighted the significance of approaching the military development stage prudently and the need for professionals to conduct the test according to relevant guidelines.
