The Taipei City Health Bureau fined Tsai Ming-kai NT$2,000 for violating the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act, with the possibility of a higher fine if repeated within a year. Despite showing no concern, KMT legislators criticized Tsai Ming-kai for disregarding the law and not setting a good example as a public figure, emphasizing the need for compliance and setting a social standard.
