The Nationalist Party (KMT) has ordered supporters to gather ahead of the parliamentary vote on the reform bill on June 21. Various pro-KMT groups have also taken to the streets in a spontaneous show of support. The KMT aims to explain the importance of parliamentary reform and relevant issues to the public through nationwide ‘Parliamentary Reform Explanatory Meetings’ to make the legislature a true representative body. The vote is expected to begin in the morning with results announced by noon, while pro-KMT groups have organized activities to mobilize support. Additionally, KMT has scheduled explanatory meetings across different locations in Taiwan from June 22 to June 23.
