The Kuomintang (KMT) recently held a meeting where party chairman, Eric Chu, stated that the Executive Yuan should accept the decision of the rejection of reconsideration. This comes after the Executive Yuan's request for a reconsideration was rejected, prompting a plan to apply for a constitutional interpretation. The KMT criticized the move, saying that according to the Constitution, the Executive Yuan must accept the rejection of the reconsideration and that requesting a constitutional interpretation in this scenario is unconstitutional. The party emphasized its commitment to defending the Republic of China Constitution based on the principles of the Legislative Yuan's exercise of powers and the need for compliance with laws by governmental entities.
