The Kuomintang caucus has called on the Democratic Progressive Party caucus not to create conflicts during the review process, boycotting the proceedings of the opposition-led legislative council. The Executive Yuan recently passed a review bill, stating that the related amendments violated democratic principles, lacked substantial discussion, disrupted procedure justice, and expanded the legislative council's authority. The KMT secretary-general believes that the Executive Yuan's 7 reasons for review lack legal obstacles or conflicts, portraying populist rhetoric and ideological defense and attack by the DPP. Among other considerations, if more than half of the legislature's members (more than 57 seats) oppose, the review will not pass, maintaining the original proposal; if more than half support, then the review will pass, and the amendment will fail. Further actions include discussing the review process timeframe through negotiation with legislative council speaker Han Kuo-yu and considering inviting Premier Su Tseng-chang to provide explanations.
