During a speech at National Taiwan University, NVIDIA CEO Huang Jen-Hsun displayed a map of Taiwan and listed their collaboration partners and schools in Taiwan. It was discovered by Korean media that despite labeling himself as an 'excellent Taiwan ambassador' and expressing interest in recruiting thousands of employees in Taiwan, the majority of NVIDIA employees actually graduated from the Israel Institute of Technology, with Stanford University in the U.S. coming in second. This is largely due to NVIDIA's acquisitions of Israeli start-ups, such as Mellanox in 2019, boosting their presence in the AI field and announcing multiple investments in recent years.
