A fire broke out in a low-rise building in Kuwait, claiming over 49 lives, mostly migrant workers. The fire spread rapidly and got out of control quickly. Many of the victims were from India, with some from Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Nepal. The incident has sparked concerns about the poor living conditions of migrant workers in Kuwait, where two-thirds of the population are foreigners heavily relying on the labor force of these workers. The fire is considered one of the deadliest in Kuwait's history.
