During the NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch crashed on the final lap of Stage 2, ending Busch's day. Larson's car snapped sideways, sending him into Busch, causing Busch to slam into the outside SAFER barrier. This incident marked Busch's first DNF of the season, leaving with a 35th place finish while Larson managed to continue and finish 10th.
