Reported 8 months ago

In order to address the post-epidemic labor shortage, the Labor Department in Taiwan announced on June 25, 2024, that they will relax restrictions for overseas students staying in Taiwan through three measures. These measures include allowing overseas students to work in mid-level technical positions in the hospitality industry, eliminating the cap on the number of overseas students, and opening up applications for personal work permits to facilitate permanent residency applications. The goal is to increase the number of overseas laborers by 200,000 by 2030, with various initiatives to attract and retain overseas talent.
