Labor Department's Employment Stability Measures Assist Workers in Reduced Shifts to Maintain Stable Lives in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Penghu, and Taitung Branch

Reported 7 months ago

According to statistics published by the Ministry of Labor on April 1, 2024, there are 346 businesses and 7,736 employees implementing reduced shifts, with the majority in the manufacturing sector. To aid workers and companies affected by economic downturns, the Labor Department initiated the 'Employment Stability Measures' salary subsidy program from January 1 to June 30, offering up to NT$9,200 per month for a maximum of 6 months. The program aims to reduce the impact of reduced wages brought on by agreements to work fewer hours. The branch promptly offers assistance by explaining the program to eligible workers and guiding them through the application process, ensuring quick and efficient support for those in need.
