Reported about 1 year ago

On July 4, 2024, the Ministry of Labour's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) held the 18th excellent construction Golden Safety Award selection event and conducted on-site evaluations in Xiaogang District and Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City. OSHA emphasized construction safety facilities, risk assessment, safe work methods, and occupational safety management, focusing on preventing falls during the construction period. They also reminded businesses to pay attention to heat hazards to ensure the safety and health of outdoor workers. OSHA noted a high number of entries this year, with 68 projects qualifying for selection and 60 outstanding individuals vying for the highest honor in occupational safety and health in the construction industry. The judging panel composed of experts will rigorously review the candidates in two stages to select the winners of the annual Golden Safety Award. Additionally, considering the upcoming high temperatures in July and August, OSHA highlighted the importance of heat hazard prevention in outdoor construction work during the evaluation, guiding the construction industry in enhancing protective measures for workers in hot environments.
