Lai Ching-te: Coordination with Su Tseng-chang in Setting up Three Committees Does Not Infringe Executive Power

President Lai Ching-te, who also serves as the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), explained the purposes of establishing three committees including the 'National Climate Change Response Committee' at a DPP Central Standing Committee meeting. He emphasized the coordination and communication with Prime Minister Su Tseng-chang throughout the decision-making process to avoid any accusations of 'infringing on executive power'. Lai urged all party officials to adopt a global perspective and proactive strategies when facing new challenges. He announced the formation of the three committees - 'National Climate Change Response Committee', 'National Social Resilience Defense Committee', and 'Healthy Taiwan Promotion Committee' - with the aim of addressing global climate change, strengthening Taiwan's social resilience, and promoting public health respectively.
