Lai Ching-te discusses climate issues with Tony Hsieh, in his role of the Climate Change Commission. When asked about nuclear power, Tony Hsieh responded with a five-word answer.

Reported 8 months ago

President Lai Ching-te recently announced the establishment of the 'National Climate Change Strategy Commission' and invited Tony Hsieh, the chairman of Pegatron, as the deputy convener. However, Tony Hsieh's pro-nuclear energy stance contradicts the DPP's 'nuclear-free homeland' policy. At a recent event, when asked about the use of nuclear energy, Tony Hsieh only responded with 'there is room for discussion.' Lai Ching-te emphasized the importance of economic development and praised the contributions of various sectors to Taiwan's growth over the years.
