President Lai Ching-te announced a constitutional interpretation against the 'Parliamentary Powers Act' passed by both blue and white lawmakers in the Legislative Yuan, and will not go to the Legislative Yuan for the state of the union address before the interpretation is released. Commentator Hsieh Hanbing criticized Lai Ching-te as a 'narcissistic, vulgar, cowardly type' on the 'Popular Watchdog Institute' show. He also condemned a report stating that a journalist from Xinhua News Agency directed the placement of CCP-requested themes in a Taiwanese political talk show, calling the journalist a thug.
