As the issue of parliamentary reform continues to simmer, Lai Ching-te recently stated his intention to uphold the spirit of 'guarding constitutional governance and protecting the people' by requesting a constitutional interpretation. When asked whether he would deliver a Presidential Address to the Legislature, Lai emphasized that the decision should wait until the results of the constitutional interpretation are released. Lai stressed the need to respect the seriousness of the Constitution and refrain from hasty actions before the interpretation results.
