During a press conference held by the DPP, KMT lawmaker Chen Yu-chen criticized Chinese reporters for monitoring a political TV show and then engaged in a confrontation with five lawmakers for nearly 20 minutes. Subsequently, KMT lawmaker Hsu Chiao-hsin also showed support at the DPP headquarters. In response, DPP lawmaker Lai Jui-lung condemned their behavior, stating that the Legislative Yuan is a professional institution for legislation, not for showmanship, urging Chen Yu-chen and Hsu Chiao-hsin to stop their disruptive actions. Lai emphasized the importance of mutual respect among lawmakers and called for professionalism within the Legislative Yuan, discouraging actions that undermine its credibility.
