A lawsuit alleges that Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball drove over an 11-year-old boy's foot, breaking it, while the boy was seeking an autograph outside a game in October 2023. The lawsuit, filed in North Carolina, claims Ball did not yield to the pedestrian or brake in time to avoid the accident. The boy's injuries required several months to heal, and damages exceeding $25,000 are sought. The lawsuit also targets the Hornets for inadequate security measures. Despite the legal issue, Ball, a rising NBA star, has not commented on the situation.
