Due to declining birth rates, Taipei's long-established private school, Furen High School, held its final graduation ceremony after nearly 60 years since its establishment, bidding farewell to 102 middle and high school students. The principal announced plans for 'Alumni Return to the Alma Mater' project after the last batch of students graduate, aiming to preserve the school's history. Additionally, 13 high schools and vocational schools in Taipei, including Furen High School, are at risk of closure next year if they don't show improvement by May 2025, as part of the 'Preparing to Exit' assistance project initiated by the Ministry of Education.
