The trial project for emergency care at home and the new 'Telemedicine Treatment Regulations' began implementation on July 2, 2024. President Tsai Ing-wen stated that the government will integrate public and private sector efforts to promote integrated medical and long-term care services, making Taiwan at the forefront globally with Long-Term Care 3.0 policy. This move aims to utilize technology in conjunction with medical services for the benefit of the people. The project includes a care team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists providing care at home or in medical facilities, offering treatment for conditions such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and soft tissue infections.
