On June 23, 2024, both blue and white parties in the Legislative Yuan jointly voted to reject the reconsideration of the parliamentary power amendment law. The green camp plans to apply for constitutional interpretation, with KMT legislator Wu Chung-Hsien suggesting that only parts are unconstitutional. Lawyer Lin Chih-Chun criticized Wu, questioning how he can dare serve food knowing there are rat droppings inside, in reference to passing potentially unconstitutional legislation. Lin emphasized the need for a balanced democratic system to prevent corruption and dictatorship, while the KMT vows to oppose any government attempt to manipulate the process of constitutional interpretation.
