Legislative Debate Disrupted Before Questioning! Chang Ching-kai Regrets Discussion on Power Shortage and Economic Development Issues Being Confiscated

Reported about 1 year ago

During the legislative review of the amendment to the 'Election and Recall Law,' DPP legislators took over the presidium early in the morning, preventing proceedings and causing the suspension of the Judiciary, Foreign Affairs and National Defense, and Economic Committees. People First Party legislator Chang Ching-kai expressed frustration as he was not given the opportunity to ask questions in the Economic Committee session, which was abruptly adjourned by committee member Chiu Yi-ying. Chang criticized the DPP's disruptive behavior and demanded answers on how Taiwan will address issues like economic power shortages and maintaining economic development momentum. Other legislators, including Ma Yu-chen, also condemned the DPP's actions, accusing them of causing unwarranted disturbances during the meetings.
