Legislative Reconsideration Vote Fails as Expected! Reveals DPP's Next Move to 'Open a New Battlefield': Warning KMT to Be Cautious

Reported 8 months ago

In the vote on the parliamentary reform amendment reconsideration at the Legislative Yuan on June 21, as anticipated, the reconsideration did not pass with 62 in favor of maintaining the original decision and 51 against, indicating the failure of the reconsideration. Former legislator Shen Fuxiong pointed out that the DPP was prepared for the failure of the reconsideration and will now enter the constitutional interpretation stage and open a 'new battlefield,' advising the KMT to be cautious. After the vote, Green camp legislators criticized Legislative Yuan Speaker Han Kuo-yu for personally voting and being 'non-neutral.' Shen warned that the new battlefield after the reconsideration vote will be 'individual recalls,' emphasizing a strategic focus on recalls to shift the majority power in the parliament.
