On June 21, the Legislative Yuan will conduct a roll-call vote on the reconsideration proposal of the parliamentary reform amendment put forward by the Executive Yuan, with both the Kuomintang (KMT) and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) mobilizing rural campaigns. In response, Ko Wen-je, chairman of the Taiwan People's Party, suggested holding TV debates between the three parties or between supporters and opponents to avoid wasting time and societal resources, criticizing the current rural campaigning strategy as a political mobilization game. Ko proposed a televised debate as a more efficient and cost-effective alternative to present and discuss different views.
