During a joint meeting of the Transportation and Judiciary Committees at the Legislative Yuan on July 3, 2024, discussions were held regarding the establishment of a 'TrueVision Investigative Task Force.' A consensus was reached between the KMT and DPP members, with KMT legislator Wu Tsung-hsien appointed as the convenor of the task force. The task force will have the authority to invite private individuals to testify, and those invited must attend unless they have a legitimate reason not to. However, DPP legislators protested the meeting's legality and walked out in protest. This marks the first exercise of investigative powers by the Legislative Yuan, and it is expected to invite relevant individuals to explain the TrueVision scandal.
