After the National Assembly Reform Bill proposed by the Kuomintang (KMT) and the People's Party was passed by the Legislative Yuan at the end of last month, Mayor Ko Wen-je of the People's Party has indicated that the next battle in the legislature will be the amendment to the 'Financial Allocation Law'. Ko criticized the KMT's proposal for allocating over 500 billion to local governments as unrealistic, as it significantly impacts the central government's overall budget. Ko emphasized the importance of the amendment and urged support for the People's Party's version for rational and practical financial planning.
