During a parliamentary session in Taiwan, Legislator Hong Shenhan clarified that he brought a sleeping bag to the chamber to support his waist due to tension but had no intention of napping on the chairman's podium. A controversy arose when a member of the opposing party, Legislator Hsu Chiao-hsin, raised suspicions about Hong's actions, leading to a back-and-forth exchange between the two. Hong explained that the sleeping bag was solely for lumbar support amidst the intense political climate in the parliament.
