In a visit to the XinShe library, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Yuan Jiang Chi-chen sought central government funding to renovate the Shigang and XinShe libraries in Taichung City, which have deteriorated over the years and are in need of reinforcement and improvements. With an estimated 80 million budget, the project is expected to be completed by the end of next year. The initiative aims to enhance the reading environment and cultural preservation, meeting the needs and expectations of the locals.
