The controversy over the amendment of legislative powers has spread from the Legislative Yuan, as following the rejection of the reconsideration proposal by Premier Cho Jung-tai, the next step for the DPP caucus, involving the Executive Yuan, the Presidential Office, and the Control Yuan, is to submit a constitutional interpretation regarding the amendment clauses. During a legislative inquiry, KMT legislator Lai pointedly criticized President Lai Ching-te, claiming he acts like a dictator and labeled Cho as Lai Ching-te's sidekick. Minister Without Portfolio Cho emphasized that both the president and the premier operate in accordance with the constitutional order, urging members to support this principle or risk being deemed 'anti-constitutional'.
