On July 2, 2024, Lin Chia-lung presented the Special Diplomacy Award to outgoing AIT Director Sandra Oudkirk, recognizing her efforts in enhancing Taiwan-US relations, promoting partner exchanges, and deepening friendship between the two countries. Oudkirk, who has served as AIT Director since July 2021, is soon returning to the US as her term concludes, with Raymond Greene from the US Embassy in Japan slated to succeed her.
