Lin urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to thoroughly investigate the use of public funds and personnel management at the office, citing potential threats to Taiwan's diplomatic efforts and national security. Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung reassured that the department is committed to defending national sovereignty and people's interests. Measures have been taken to address travel safety concerns in light of extradition treaties with China, particularly as the summer travel season and the Paris Olympics approach. Plans for enhanced communication with relevant countries have been devised to safeguard Taiwanese citizens.
