A construction site in Linkou District, New Taipei City, witnessed a fatal workplace accident where a worker fell from a building on June 15, marking the second such incident at the site in two years. Following the incident, the OSHA conducted a surprise inspection and found safety violations, including missing guardrails on scaffolding. The construction was fined NT$150,000 and ordered to halt work. The OSHA emphasized the need for improved safety inspections and enforcement in the construction industry, as falls from heights pose high risks in the rapidly developing urbanization of Taiwan.
