In recent years, Lin Kou Junior High School in New Taipei City has been promoting deep reading and aesthetic creativity courses to help students de-stress and enhance their sense of beauty, which has resulted in an overall improvement in student performance in this year's junior high entrance exams. The school principal, Liu Ming-en, implemented a deep reading program involving regular morning and interdisciplinary readings, as well as activities like a 'living library' to inspire innovative potential. Not only did the program enhance reading abilities, it also cultivated critical thinking and creativity, with 39.61% of students achieving proficiency in the Chinese subject, indicating a positive impact from integrating reading and aesthetic creativity in learning.
